He received the Laurea and PhD degrees in computer science from the University of Torino, Italy, in 1990 and 1994, respectively.

He is currently an associate professor of computer science at the University of Piemonte Orientale, Italy. His current research interests include resource management algorithms for cloud computing, distributed storage systems, and digital forensics.

Since 2022, he is an associate professor of Computer Science at the University of Piemonte Orientale (Italy) and member of the Distributed systems research lab.

His research interests include efficient resource management techniques for large scale distributed systems (Cloud and Edge/Fog systems) and digital forensics.
